When we release a new series of straps, which have been beautifully made specifically for ourselves, it is always an event so it is with some pride that we introduce the new Castile and Turon Vintage Handmade Spanish Leather watch straps only from WatchGecko.

Inspired by this most historical region of Spain, the Castile Genuine Handmade Spanish Leather Watch Strap is available in four sophisticated colours, dark brown, light brown, black and dark blue, and represents a perfect fusion of elegance and craftsmanship. Its name pays homage to a region steeped in history which evokes a sense of heritage and charm to complement any wristwatch.

The Turon strap also takes inspiration from Spain's history, named after a beautiful town in the Andalucia region inhabited since Roman times. Again available in the same four natural colours, Turon will bring a high-end vintage appearance to any prized Chronometer.

Both of our new straps are made from top-quality Spanish Arizona leather. This is a top-grain leather that retains the original character of the hide. For maximum comfort and style, the lining of each strap is fitted with honey-coloured Everest calf leather sourced from Italy.

The Castile is saddle stitched by hand using two needles. This is an artisan, time-consuming process and a technique reserved for the best quality watch straps and materials. The lining of the strap is stamped with the WatchGecko logo along with the lug and buckle size and the words "Spanish Leather Handmade".

The Turon strap follows slightly different design and it is hand stitched twice at the top, where it attaches to the watch, and also enhanced with stitching at the buckle and tip. It too carries the same stamping as the Castile.

Using all our experience, we have created these straps for maximum comfort to suit a wide variety of wrists. There are six holes for adjustment, and the two pieces comprising each strap are 75mm long on the shorter buckle side and 115mm long on the longer side. With minimal padding so as not to overshadow a watch case and allow quick softening and a thickness of 2.5mm throughout, this strap is compatible with standard 1.8mm spring bars.

Both of these straps represent an evolution of the creativity of WatchGecko and the final result of our seeking out some of the best manufacturers in the global industry. Everything about these watch straps has been designed without compromise, from the carefully chosen colours that will complement the most watched dials to the handcrafted stitching. The final finish is superb, and these straps are worthy of fitting to the finest watch. Too often in our industry, we find that straps are an afterthought from many manufacturers; however the Castile and Turon straps are the complete antithesis of this and will soon become an integral part of the joy of wearing your favourite watch.
