Don’t worry, we’re still ticking away!
5th January 2021: The UK back to national lockdown
You may have already heard that the UK is now (once again) in a national lockdown.
Much like the first lockdown imposed in March 2020, we'd like to take this moment to reassure all of our customers that WatchGecko will continue shipping products with our usual delivery service. Due to the long duration of the pandemic, we have been able to change how the teams work so we can continue to work effectively but most importantly, safely. Many of the team have been working from home for many months now with members of staff in the office being cut down to only the essential team. This means that orders will continue to ship as normal.
Please be assured that all of our products are handled with care, and we have enforced stricter health and safety measures over the past 12 months to ensure that all of our watches, watch straps and accessories are clean when they arrive at your door.
If you have any questions or concerns on the above, please do get in touch. We hope you all keep safe and healthy during this uncertain time.
Delivery times relating to COVID-19
Please bear with us as we have noticed some delays in standard postal services in a number of countries, because of this please allow more time for your order to arrive than you would normally. Rest assured team is here to help, but we are asking buyers to allow 7 days for UK deliveries and up to 28 days for international shipments. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
8th April 2020: Update
I just wanted to touch base again to say hello and to again thank everyone for their support and goodwill during this difficult time. We have had a busy weekend but are managing to stay on top of the orders with the team working hard to maintain business as usual as best we can. We have seen some delays with delivery, especially with international airmail shipments, but these are still arriving and we and appreciate your patience and understanding. We have continued to make adjustments to the available shipping options to various countries in order to maintain a stable service.
1st April 2020: Packing team update
We just wanted to share some images with you all to show the measures we’re taking to ensure your orders arrive with you not just quickly, but also safe and clean. This week is no change from last week, most of the office is working from home where possible with a reduction in packing team members coming into the office. However, we're still getting your orders out asap.
30th March 2020: Shipping update
Many thanks for your continued custom and messages of support, it means a lot to us. We are currently trying very hard to maintain a 'business as usual' approach but please note that there may now be a slight delay in your order being processed. Orders are normally processed within 24 hours of them being placed during the working week, but as we currently have fewer staff in the office due to many of us working from home, we may not be able to get the orders out as quickly as we normally do. This should only mean a maximum delay of one extra day in your order being processed though. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
While I am here - I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank all of our hardworking and loyal staff who are doing a really great job at this very difficult time for us all.
27th March 2020: A letter of thanks…
We’ve just published a letter of thanks on the Online Magazine discussing how the current climate is affected us and how through everything, your support means so much.

27th March 2020: Update on shipping
We have been notified by Deutsche Post that they have temporarily suspended mail shipments to a number of international destinations. Many of these countries are not places that we would normally send items to but there are a few that we do, such as Australia, Hong Kong and the USA. Please note that express shipments are not affected are we are recommending that international customers select this option to ensure that they receive their order within a reasonable time frame.
25th March 2020: Things are in the works!
Hi all, we just wanted to check in again with everyone to let you all know that although we're all working from home things are still happening. We have three articles at the moment in the process of being posted, we recently hosted a QnA on Instagram through the @watchgecko account on our story and there is a big thank you coming really soon. Your support as loyal customers always means so much to us, this is only heightened during these unnerving times. We're simply a group of people who all love watches and are passionate about providing the best service. whether that be in the form of a watch strap, a watch, a social media comment or a video.
We will continue to update this as regularly as possible!
24th March 2020: Update.
As of today, the UK has entered a state of enforced restricted movement. Schools and many businesses have been ordered to close. Online businesses however have been encouraged to remain operational as have the various delivery services. Many of us are now working from home and our office staff have been reduced to a minimum. We are all OK and are working hard to continue to serve you as best we can. We are currently shipping orders out every weekday as normal.
Please note that there may now be some delays with items sent in the mail. We will continue to monitor the situation and know that there are delays with mail sent to some of our international destinations. Customers are advised to select the Express Delivery option which offers a fast and fully tracked service. We offer this service for free with orders totaling as little as £50 depending on the destination.
Many thanks to all of you who have and continue to support businesses like ours during this very difficult time for us all. Stay safe everyone.

18th March 2020
Hi Everyone,
In light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak, we wanted to reassure all of our customers that WatchGecko will continue shipping products with our usual delivery service. Like everyone at the moment, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the situation as time goes on, and will act accordingly following any announcements from the government.
We currently have measures in place that allow our team to work remotely but still continue delivering our products to our loyal customers. We will of course keep you updated if anything changes, but until then, we are still running as usual.
