If you are lucky to own a stunningly versatile watch like the latest edition Omega Seamaster, strap changes can be a minefield. The problem is that the watch looks good on anything, whether military nylon, rubber or leather. The Seamaster 300 is one of those rare timepieces which devours strap systems and makes them look great. So, where do you start?

Our office model is a 2023 Seamaster Professional Diver 300M Co-Axial Master Chronometer in a 42mm stainless steel case; Omega reference 210.32.42.20.03.001.

The standout feature of this watch is the blue ceramic bezel with a white enamel diving scale; these features have to be taken into account when changing straps. The dial is in polished blue ceramic and features the classic Seamaster laser-engraved waves and a date window at 6 o'clock.

The lug width is 20mm, so there is lots of opportunity for strap swapping, so that's a blessing. Lug-to-lug is 49.9mm, so again, you don't want to artificially mess too much with that by using a strap that makes the watch "appear" a different size.

Bearing all that in mind, here are our best suggestions for this watch, although they would do well on any blue Seamaster, even those from the 80s when this design was first seen.

1973 British Military Watch Strap: INFANTRY1973 British Military Watch Strap: INFANTRY – Deltoid - £18

This military nylon has a distinctly nautical feel, with the blue and white stripes perfectly complementing the same colours within the Omega. The polished metal work of this strap also matches the polished accents on the case of the dive watch.

This timeless design, with its military origins combined with modern-day composite nylon, ensures that your Seamaster retains the look of its intended purpose yet looks contemporary. This is a standard-style military strap, measuring 295mm and measures 1.2mm in thickness.

Kingsand Rubber Watch Strap MKII - Azure BlueKingsand Rubber Watch Strap MKII - Azure Blue - £48

When you find a curved end rubber strap that perfectly hugs the upper and lower sides of your watch case, it is a thing of beauty once fitted. Our Kingsand range has been designed specifically for Rolex, Omega and Tudor, and the fit is expertly crafted and exceptional. The latest Azure B Kingsand is perfect for the 2023 Omega Seamaster.

The Kingsand watch strap is made from high-quality, durable rubber. The rubber strap has a smooth, flat finish and is flexible to fit around your wrist. Measuring 120/80mm (excluding buckle) and has eight adjustment holes for optimal comfort in and out of water.

Ridge British Military Watch StrapRidge British Military Watch Strap - Navy Bond - £24

You have to own at least one Bond strap for your Omega. And if yours is the blue and white ceramic model, then the Ridge Navy Bond is as close to perfect as you can find.

This premium strap has a subtle ribbed texture to the nylon, similar to old-fashioned military webbing. Like military webbing, the 1.2mm thick nylon is incredibly tough and hardwearing.

The buckle and keepers are fashioned from stainless steel, and the keeper nearest the buckle is floating so that you can adjust it to suit the excess nylon you have. With a length of 285mm, this strap will fit any wrist size from 6 inches to 9 inches (15.25cm to 22.86cm).

Bond straps are traditionally in grey and black, so this alternate imagining, in blue and grey, perfectly complements the ceramic colourings of the latest edition of the Seamaster. With this strap, your Omega and you will be mission-ready.

Vintage Tropical Style FKM Rubber Watch StrapVintage Tropical Style FKM Rubber Watch Strap – White - £48

Although the Omega comes on an excellent blue rubber strap from the manufacturer, it's a lot of fun to highlight the other principal colour of the watch which is white. Try fitting yours to a white FKM  rubber strap rather than the much more common blue for a look that is complementary and, at the same time, completely transformative.

Inspired by the golden age of diving watches in the 1960s, our Vintage Tropical Style Strap pays homage to tropic straps from a bygone era with a generous tapered tail, classic style keepers, and a period-accurate textured pattern. Yet it is a modern strap with hi-tec FKM rubber and quick-release spring bars.

These straps look like the original tropic straps that were sold with dive watches back in the 1960s. The smaller perforated vents are carefully designed to allow airflow through to your skin, water to drain and for significantly greater user comfort in hot climates. If you want to take your Omega Seamaster back to the time of Ian Fleming and 1960s dive culture, then the WatchGecko Vintage Tropical is the strap.

ZULUDIVER Maverick (MK II) Sailcloth Waterproof Watch StrapZULUDIVER Maverick (MK II) Sailcloth Waterproof Watch Strap - Black / Blue - £48

Sailcloth and a Seamaster make the perfect combination, both ooze sophistication and functionality.

Irish seal cloth is built up of three different layers which are a soft fabric against the wrist a middle core of neoprene and an outer layer of waterproof rubber moulded to look like sailcloth. With this new MKII (August 2022) improved version of one of our most popular selling sailcloth watch straps, we have taken customer feedback and made a few upgrades.

The buckle has been upgraded to our popular Sub-Aquatic, which is made from saltwater resistant 316L stainless steel, professional dual finishing, solid machined tongue and drilled holes for easy fitting or removal. This watch strap features medium padding for added comfort but remains lightweight and flexible.

ZULUDIVER Mayday Anchor Sailcloth Divers Watch Strap - Off WhiteZULUDIVER Mayday Anchor Sailcloth Divers Watch Strap - Off White - £48

The Anchor is yet another sailcloth offering although this time it has large perforated holes which pay homage to dive straps from the formative years of scuba diving. The large holes help water to drain away and dry the skin underneath and are equally appropriate in a hot climate.

Build quality is identical to the other sail cloth straps listed here and the holes are uniquely sealed to ensure they never come out of shape. Channel your 1960s secret agent with this strap, and you're Omega.

1973 British Military Watch Strap: 328 MARINE - Tactical – White - £681973 British Military Watch Strap: 328 MARINE - Tactical – White - £68

Take your Omega Seamaster back to its military heritage with this strap. The ZULUDIVER 328 sets a new standard for military-style straps and is aimed to be the perfect pairing for serious dive watches in their natural habitat. The 1973 classic British design requires no introduction, but this strap offers a twist on the classic as it is made from rubber. Made in cooperation with the renowned strap maker Bonetto Cinturini, this is the ultimate military diver's strap.

ZULUDIVER 1973 British Military Watch Strap: ARMOURED RECON - Navy Blue, Satin - £24ZULUDIVER 1973 British Military Watch Strap: ARMOURED RECON - Navy Blue, Satin - £24

The blue on the Omega Seamaster is beautiful, so when you find a strap that perfectly matches it, the end result of the combination is truly striking. The ZULUDIVER Military Herringbone design is made from high-strength seatbelt nylon webbing and fitted with premium-grade stainless steel hardware.

The nylon used in this range is silky smooth, providing a softer, luxurious feel, and its reflective iridescent quality means the colours seem to change when seen from different angles. This is the standard British military design, measuring 300mm and measures 1.2mm in thickness.
