In honour of the upcoming, inaugural British Watchmaker’s Day event taking place in London this March, Richard sat down (virtually) with Roger W Smith to talk about the exciting resurgence of British watch and clock making that has happened of late:

With over 90 watch and clockmaking brands set to swarm on Lindley Hall next month and Special Edition timepieces exclusive to the event being announced steadily, it’s only natural that excitement amongst watch-enthusiasts is building.

Roger W Smith, the Chairman for the Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers, is an integral part of the day’s proceedings and of global watch production and development generally. We were honoured to chat with him about all things British Watchmaker’s Day, the special watch he has been working on for the past eleven months, and the future of the British watch industry.

British watch and clock making is back, here to stay and is to be taken seriously. – Roger W Smith
