When it comes to blending horology with haute couture, few do it quite like Hermès. At Watches and Wonders 2025, the French maison once again reaffirms its playful yet poetic approach to watchmaking, unveiling a lineup that challenges traditional timekeeping with fluid forms, unexpected mechanics, and an undeniable sense of elegance.

From sculptural case designs to whimsical complications, Hermès proves that watchmaking is not just about precision—it’s about storytelling.

So, what are the standout novelties from Hermès this year? Here’s a closer look at the pieces that caught our eye.

Hermès Arceau Le temps suspend

Hermès continues its playful relationship with time in 2025, reimagining the Arceau Le temps suspendu with a fresh aesthetic while retaining its signature whimsical complication. First introduced in 2011, this poetic timepiece allows the wearer to “suspend” time at will—embracing the philosophy that the moments we forget are often the ones we cherish most.

Now housed in a refined 42mm case, the latest edition offers an openworked dial that showcases the intricate “Time suspended” module, powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1837 movement. Available in white or rose gold, the watch pairs with three dial hues—sunburst blue, brun désert, and rouge sellier—each accentuating the elegant asymmetry of the signature Arceau lugs.

Hermès Cut Le temps suspend

Building on this philosophy of playful timekeeping, Hermès brings its emblematic complication to the contemporary Cut collection for the first time. Introduced in 2024, the Hermès Cut is defined by its bold geometry and sharp lines, and now, with the Le temps suspendu function, it gains an added layer of intrigue.

Housed in a 39mm rose gold case, this edition is powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement, featuring the same whimsical suspension of time—now accompanied by a counterclockwise running indicator for an extra touch of eccentricity.

Available in several variations, including an eye-catching one-shot model with a striking red dial, the Cut Le temps suspendu defies convention, creating a space where time is no longer a constraint but an experience to be savoured.

Hermès once again turns its gaze to the cosmos with three new interpretations of the Arceau L’heure de la lune, a poetic expression of lunar timekeeping first introduced in 2019. Limited to just 12 pieces, this latest trio elevates the collection’s celestial storytelling with dials crafted from extraordinary extraterrestrial materials.

The mobile time and date counters—gravitating around the dial in a mesmerizing 59-day cycle—gradually unveil twin moon phases, simultaneously displaying the lunar cycle for both hemispheres. A signature Pegasus, drawn from Dimitri Rybaltchenko’s Full Moon motif, watches over this celestial ballet.

Each edition features a striking two-tone construction, with the lugs and case crafted from contrasting materials. The white gold and blue titanium model boasts a dial made from lunar rock, while the rose gold and titanium version houses a fragment of the asteroid Vesta. The final variant, in white and rose gold, is adorned with a piece of Erg Chech meteorite, a rare remnant of a long-lost planetary body.

Completing the look, each watch is paired with a matte alligator strap—abyss blue for the lunar rock model and graphite for the others—ensuring that Hermès’ signature elegance extends from the heavens to the wrist.

Following the celestial spectacle of the Arceau L’heure de la lune, Hermès introduces a more delicate interpretation of lunar timekeeping with the Arceau Petite lune. Crafted in steel and set with 99 diamonds, this elegant timepiece features a blue-lacquered gradient dial with a deep abyss blue centre, subtly framed by 15 diamonds.

A moon-phase display between 10 and 11 o’clock adds a touch of quiet sophistication, complementing the slender openworked hands powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1837 self-winding movement. The sapphire caseback reveals the movement’s refined finishing, including the signature ‘sprinkling of Hs’ motif on the bridges and oscillating weight.

Paired with an interchangeable abyss blue alligator strap, the Arceau Petite lune combines timeless craftsmanship with a subtle nod to the mysteries of the night sky.
