2025's edition of Watches and Wonders has seen a slew of IWC Ingenieur models added to the collection, including a new case size, some clever new materials and even a new complication.
IWC Ingenieur Expansion Models
IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40
Following on from 2023's Ingenieur releases, it was only a matter of time before we saw some expansion. The 40mm Automatic model has seen a new material with 18 karat red gold case that comes with a brushed case, bezel and integrated bracelet, complete with polished chamfers for added contrast.
It features a black grid dial that fits well with the red gold exterior, as well as a new display case back to show off the Caliber 32111 movement with 120 hours of power reserve.
IWC Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar 41
Perhaps right at home for IWC is the formidable combination of the classic Ingenieur shape and a perpetual calendar movement, and 2025 sees IWC make good on that with this new 41mm stainless steel Ingenieur model.
It features a stainless steel case, bezel and integrated bracelet all with polished and satin-finished surfaces, as well as a blue grid dial with three subdials for date, day of the week and perpetual moonphase. This new Ingenieur also comes with rhodium-plated hands, as well as IWC's 82600 calibre with 60 hours of power reserve. It too can be viewed through this piece's exhibition caseback, with its ceramic components and Pellaton winding system.
IWC Ingenieur Automatic 42
Arguably the meanest looking release of this new Ingenieur lineup is this black ceramic 42mm option, which marks the first time this model has been offered with a fully ceramic finish.
It features a multi-part ceramic construction for the watch's case and bracelet and a blend of polished, sandblasted and satin-finished edges for some sublime execution. In-keeping with the mean looks, this Ingenieur also has a black grid dial with date wheel at 3 o'clock, and sapphire caseback on the reverse.
It's powered by IWC's 82110 calibre, which comes with 60 hours of power reserve and the Pellaton winding system.
IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 Collection
As well as bringing together new materials and complications, 2025 has also seen the introduction of a brand new, smaller case size for the Ingenieur with options now arriving in a sleeker 35mm.
There are three variants to choose from - two in stainless steel, and one in 18 karat gold. The two stainless steel options come with either a black or silver-plated grid dial, while the gold model has a colour-matched grid dial.
The only difference between this and larger models is size – IWC says the case finishing and quality remain identical.
All models make use of a new-for-IWC 47110 movement, which comes with 42 hours of power reserve and 23 jewels.
