If there was one dial colour to exemplify the year 2023, it’s turquoise. The shade of blue has dominated the watch industry these past twelve months following the sell-out launch of Patek Phillipe’s 5711 model with a “Tiffany Blue” dial.
The 5711 Nautilus was not available to us regular folk, even if we could afford it. The 170 limited edition pieces were reserved for VIPs only including Jay-Z, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ed Sheeran. The only one made available to the general public was sold at auction for a whopping $6.5 million…

Thankfully, several other watch brands answered the prayers of us mere mortals that can’t afford a limited edition Patek, but still want a watch with a bright and exciting turquoise display. And so, here’s my top 5 watches with turquoise or “Tiffany Blue”-inspired dials. And even better, they’re all under £400…
Timex Women's Legacy

Following the success of Patek’s 5711 Tiffany model, Rolex launched a similarly coloured Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 watch which, of course, was hard to get and over-priced. Timex has basically copied the aesthetic with their Timex Women’s Legacy watch which retails at just £140. It presents a stunning turquoise blue dial with a curved day window at 12 o’clock, date window at 3 o’clock and silvered hardware to match the stainless steel case and bracelet.

Those that like the turquoise blue dial but prefer more vintage case shapes will love the Geckota Pioneer Aurora watch. The model draws on the space-age designs of the 1960’s with a brushed cushion-shaped stainless-steel case and round, brightly polished bezel. The blue dial continues the retro theme with a sunray-brushed finish, cathedral-like hands and rounded indexes. For just £399, you get an automatic winding movement, sapphire crystal glass and a 200 metre water resistant rating.

I love the Seiko 5 Sports SKX ‘Midi’ watch for a number of reasons. It’s compact 38mm wide architecture is ideal for smaller wrists like mine and yet it still comes with all the five sporty traits of the Seiko 5 series: 100 metre water resistance, robust steel case and bracelet, recessed crown at 4 o’clock, day and date complication and the automatic winding 4R36 movement. Reference SRPK33K1 is made all the better for its bright teal dial with stunning gold-coloured, Lumibrite-coated hour and minute hands. It’s a steal at just £300.

My personal favourite turquoise dial watch on the market is easily the Tissot PRX Mint Green. I beg you, do not be fooled by the images on Tissot’s website. This is not some pale mint green display but one of bright turquoise blue. The brushed dial is set with faceted markers that catch the light beautifully alongside the polished bezel and lume-set hour and minute hands. The rest of the tonneau-shaped case and integrated bracelet is brushed and sits incredibly low at the wrist at just 10.4mm high for the 40mm-wide model and 9.6mm tall for the 35mm-wide option. Currently, the Tissot PRX Mint Green is only available with a quartz movement for £335 but I have a strong feeling this colour will arrive on a textured, automatic-powered dial soon. I have reviewed the 35mm model in more detail if you want to read that here.
That concludes my top 5 turquoise watch dials. Do you agree with my opinions, or would you have chosen a different model for the number one spot? Let me know in the comments below!
