Today is set to see a flurry of excitement at Baltic as pre-orders for their stunning Prismic collection go live. Inspired by geometric shapes and luminous refractions, the new model is aesthetically stunning and comes in four variations: purple, green, salmon and blue-grey.

Housed in a 36mm case made of steel and titanium, The Prismic takes its stylistic inspiration from the aesthetic of “cocktail” watches. The case is comprised of five individual parts and Baltic have taken full advantage of that, opting to showcase a variety of finishes with numerous materials used. The bezel, lugs and case back are all made from stainless steel and are embedded onto a Grade 5 titanium case, the finish of which is slightly grainy. The bezel surrounds a double-dome sapphire and subtle differences are shown off between the finishes on two levels. The upper part is polished which is an elegant contrast to the circular brushed lower part. The lugs are polished on top and horizontally brushed on the sides.

Embodying Baltic’s interpretation of the modern dress watch, the dial is brought to life with multiple finishes, achieving a final look that is both sleek and understated. The guilloché dial rests atop a brushed sector with applied and polished indexes. A seconds sub-counter is visible at 6 o’clock with a grained dial, framed by a brushed steel ring. The time can be read by dauphine hands with a brushed upper surface and polished chamfers, the effect of which produces unique and playful depths and light reflections.

The Prismic runs on a mechanical movement developed by the Swiss ETA Manufacture, a Peseux 7001 caliber. The movement offers 42 hours of power reserve and is known for its resistance, robustness, and reliability. The caseback features a sapphire glass display panel which offers awe-inspiring views of the carefully decorated caliber.

The Prismic is remarkably thin and elegant measuring 9.2mm and is worn on a brushed, brained stainless steel bracelet which transcends the already-graceful aesthetic. The Mesh perfectly matches the watch case and the natural curvature of the wrist due to its fine, supple mesh. Easily adjustable with a sliding clasp and easy to detach with its quick-release system, it makes an ideal accessory for this classy watch.
