The range of quality watches available on WatchGecko continues to expand.

WatchGecko are proud to now be the sole UK distributor of NTH watches. NTH are an American microbrand that was founded in 2016 by Chris Vail, a long-time member of the WatchUSeek forum community.

The name NTH refers to the term the “nth” degree – meaning to take something to the next level. NTH aim to produce affordable mechanical watches that offer the perfect blend of bold design, solid specifications, and excellent finishing.

The current NTH collections all take inspiration from various iconic dive watches, and all are powered by either Miyota or Seiko automatic movements.

The NTH Subs

The Sub collection is NTH’s flagship range. These dive watches pay tribute to some of the most classic (and collectible) vintage dive watches. The bulk of the watches feature a 40mm case, but there’s also the 43.75mm 2K1 range for those who want something with more wrist-presence.

One of the most notable features of the NTH Subs are that they pack a hefty 300m water-resistance into a case that’s just 11.5mm thick, which is an impressive feat for a diver. They also boast a very good application of Super-LumiNova, so they’re extremely legible in the dark.

The bezel insert of each Sub is stainless steel. This was a very deliberate choice as steel can stand up to scratches better than aluminium, but also don’t have the same potential to crack like ceramic.

So, with a great range of dial options, the NTH Subs are a solid choice for anyone after a mechanical dive watch that won’t break the bank.

The NTH DevilRay

The DevilRay pays homage to the deep-sea divers of the 1960s & 1970s. The cushion shaped steel case, bold orange minute hand, and double-metered bezel give of a distinctly Doxa-esque feel, whilst the overall design remains unique. The applied markers set against the raised minute track are an unusual and bold design choice, that gives the dial an awesome sense of depth.

The DevilRay has a hefty 500m depth rating, and naturally features both a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a decent amount of Super-LumiNova.

If you want a bold dive watch that’s got a unique and interesting look, then the DevilRay is the watch for you!

NTH Tropics

The Tropics are inspired by a more niche type of dive watch- the Super Compressor. These latest NTH models add a bright twist to the vintage style, with each having an eye-catching brightly coloured dial.

Like the other NTH collections, the Tropics are true tool watches, and as such have 200m water resistance, a sapphire crystal, and are powered by a Miyota automatic movement.

The watches are also very thin, being just 11.5mm thick. That means that these divers can easily fit under a shirt cuff, whilst the 40mm wide case is a great mid-size to suit all wrists.

Overall, the NTH Tropics are both fun and functional, and will make a great purchase for any dive watch fan after a more colourful piece.

The Tropics are due to be delivered in early April 2021. We’re only getting 2-3 units of each SKU in the initial batch, so be sure to sign up on the product pages to be alerted when they come into stock!
