Longines are set to celebrate the 70th anniversary of their iconic CONQUEST collection by presenting the new CONQUEST HERITAGE CENTRAL POWER RESERVE. The model is inspired by an emblematic model previously created by Longines in the 1950s.

Available in a stunning trio of champagne, anthracite and black, this timepiece is a perfect example of the brand’s technical excellence and timeless elegance.

The Conquest Collection, originally released in 1954, was the first Longines watch line to have its name protected by the Federal Intellectual Property Office in Berne, Switzerland. Since then, the Conquest line has been popularly associated with sport and achievement. In part due to its self-winding and water-resistant properties.

The collection then expanded in 1959 to include a model with a one-of-a-kind power reserve indicator that consisted of two rotating discs located in the centre of the dial. Longines have now reimagined this classic with the new Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve. Again, they have used this unique and striking feature in an ode to the iconic Longines watches that came before it. Having the central power reserve rotating on two discs in the centre of the dial is a unique process which was invented by Longines and is used exclusively by the brand.

In the shape of a baton widened at the top, wearers are able to handily view the watches remaining running time and rewinding can be achieved by either turning the crown or moving the wrist which causes the coiling disc to rotate.

With the help of this distinctive feature, the aesthetics of the dial never remain static, constantly changing with wear and creating a metaphoric visual for the passing of time. This clever mechanism is a nod to the history of Longines watches and the models that came before the Conquest Heritage.

Arriving in a completely redesigned 38mm steel case, with alternating satin-finished and polished surfaces, topped by a box sapphire crystal with multi-layer anti-reflective treatment on both sides, this is a model as functional as it is attractive. Available in champagne, anthracite or black, the three-part dial of the Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve is edged on its fixed part by twelve yellow gold-coloured, rose gold-coloured, or silver-coloured applied faceted hour markers. A fine, circular thread separates the indexes and marks the minute track. Similarly to the applied hour markers whose colours they adopt, the skyscraper-style hour and minute hands are coated with Super LumiNova.

Powered by the new and exclusive Longines L896.5 calibre, visible via the transparent screw-down case back, Longines continue to demonstrate their watchmaking expertise and ability to execute ageless style.

The Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve will be available with black or grey leather straps that have been fitted with a new steel pin buckle to perfectly align with the latest models in the Conquest Heritage line. The lugs have also seen an evolution that ensures optimum ergonomics and comfort for the wearer.

The three colourways are now available from Longines for £3,500.00 per model.
