Irish born actor Barry Keoghan joins the fray at OMEGA and brings with him the release of the Speedmaster Moonwatch Bi-Colour collection which currently features two variants, one in 18K Moonshine™ Gold and the other in 18K Sedna™ Gold.
Keoghan, who is possibly most well-known for his roles in The Banshees of Inisherin and Saltburn, has made no secret of his enthusiasm for the brand on many a glamorous red carpet recently. Having donned a triple ensemble of Omega timepieces at New York’s dazzling Met Gala earlier this year, as well as rocking the androgenous Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 34mm (double Sedna™ Gold) at the BAFTAs, the news of his position as ‘Friend of the Brand’ comes as no surprise.

Likely more interesting to many of us are the two new Bi-Colour Moonwatches that Omega’s new ambassador brings with him. The two new models of the infamous Moonwatch essentially present themselves as bi-colour hybrids that make for an elegant evolution from their current models. Halfway between steel and gold, the new references are likely to be of interest to collector’s looking for something a little more unique than the standard full steel and gold offerings.

Both dials are framed by a black ceramic bezel. The Moonshine Gold™ is presented with a sun-brushed silver dial, classic Omega Ceragold™ tachymeter scale and contrasting subdials in galvanic 18k Moonshine™ Gold. The Sedna™ Gold reference (known by anyone outside of Omega as rose gold) is perhaps more an acquired taste. The entire dial is decorated in pinkish gold which is a stark contrast against its black subdials.

Much like the original Moonwatches, the Bi-Colour editions come equipped with the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 which is manually wound and viewable through the sapphire crystal display back. The similarities don’t stop there, with their 42mm case, 47.5mm lug-to-lug width and a total thickness of 13.2mm the new variants will feel as familiar on the wrist as the Moonwatch itself.
