TAG Heuer, who is part of the LVMH group, has released several new watches today in Miami.
These include a new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph and the much anticipated Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon, which still retains racing heritage but with added technical and aesthetic sophistication. Cutting-edge green-power tech is covered by the latest Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph, now available in a reduced and highly contemporary 34 mm case size and a new mother-of-pearl dial. A design challenge when you consider the dial is a solar panel. Avant-garde technology is reinforced by creating the TAG Heuer Carrera Date Plasma, featuring yellow Diamant. In a binding of traditional watch design and the digital communication world, TAG has unveiled the new Connected Calibre E4. This 45mm watch seamlessly merges the joy of a mechanical watch with the 21st-century requirement to be connected.
TAG HEUER CARRERA CHRONOGRAPH
The Carrera collection is a motorsport icon which has graced the race track for decades. A new model always turns heads, and the latest TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Glassbox has a famous DATO layout but is now in a teal green aesthetic. As with all Carrera watches, this new timepiece stays true to the brand's impressive racing heritage. The Glassbox design features redrawn ergonomics from the original watches and comes with an azure sub-dial at three o'clock; a clear nod to racing car colour tones from the 1920s onwards.
TAG HEUER CARRERA CHRONOGRAPH TOURBILLON
The new Tourbillon Glassbox watch is externally the same as the new Carrera, except it has no lower dial. This part of the watch dial has been exposed to reveal a stunning tourbillion cage which is accentuated through the curved sapphire crystal. The impact of the tourbillion, technical brilliance aside, gives this Carrera variant highly sophisticated fine watchmaking visuals and adds even more sophistication to this already class-leading watch.
TAG HEUER AQUARACER PROFESSIONAL 200 SOLARGRAPH
The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph is presented in a new 34mm case with five unique dials. This Aquaracer collection continues to be the backbone of TAG’s adventurous spirit but now with added elegance. Breaking new technical ground, mother-of-pearl dials are introduced, with a diamond option. These micro-thin dials have had to be specially adapted for Solargraph technology alongside the more traditional deep blue and polar blue dials. You would never guess these watches are solar powered, so complex and sophisticated are the dials. Perhaps TAG’s most incredible design creation of recent years?
TAG HEUER CARRERA DATE PLASMA DIAMANT D’AVANT-GARDE
TAG Heuer’s technology, named Diamant d’Avant-Garde, brings us another marker that continues pushing TAG back into the forefront of the watchmaking industry. The LVMH releases include the TAG Heuer Carrera Date Plasma 36mm watch with 1.4 carats of yellow-coloured Diamant d’Avant-Garde. This new watch marks the second time TAG has utilised lab-grown diamonds, which are now prevalent in the jewellery industry. Eco-friendly and conflict-free, these creations look like diamonds and even have Antwerp certification. They are diamonds for a new generation who care about where their precious stones come from, so it is hardly a surprise that TAG is leading this movement.
TAG HEUER CONNECTED CALIBRE E4 – 45MM
TAG Heuer continues with its green theme with the latest TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4. The Calibre E4 offers three distinct tones, imaginatively named Mirage, Prism, and Chromatic. The Connected Calibre E4 fully integrates into daily life, connecting wearers with work, fitness and daily tracking.
The LVMH releases continue to show that TAG Heuer remains at the forefront of watch innovation, which, to those of us who have been fans since the 1980s, is fabulous to see.
