The Aquascaphe Titanium is Balitic’s newest addition to their line of dive watches, a more technical evolution on their Aquascaphe Classic. As the name suggests this dive watch has been upgraded with a titanium case for a tougher and more lightweight wear, whether you intend on diving with the Baltic Aquascaphe Titanium or not.

With 300 meters of water resistance you certainly could, while the 42 hours of power reserve will let you live out your extreme explorations with some peace of mind, at least with what’s strapped to your wrist.

Strong, light and corrosion-resistant, the new 55g titanium case gives the new Baltic Aquascaphe some reassuring toughness. That same durability carries on into the domed sapphire crystal and brushed uni-directional ceramic bezel for an overall impressive tool-watch packed into a 41mm case.

Under the sapphire crystal of the Baltic Aquascaphe Titanium, we find a glossy blue (or grained black dial depending on your choice) with the familiar sleek indices and hands of the Baltic Aquascaphe Dual-Crown. The layout is clean and clutter-free, helped by the lack of a date window and keeping only the essential information extremely legible for quick reading underwater.

The indices and hands are also given generous coatings of Super-LumiNova®. The black model uses C3 X1 for a light green glow that’s up to 60% longer lasting than the standard Super-LumiNova® grade. The blue model on the other hand uses BGW9 with a blueish-white glow that has 95% of the relative brightness of C3. So while they’re both impressively bright and legible, if you’re looking for the best in the collection the black model would be the optimal choice.

Powering the Baltic Aquascaphe Titanium is the tried and trusted Miyota 9039. This automatic self-winding Japanese movement is pretty robust and easily serviceable, providing the watch with a power reserve of 42 hours. The first series of the Baltic Aquascaphe Titanium will be offered at 300 pieces per model, each coming with its own unit number engraved onto the caseback and either black or blue rubber tropic strap with a matching titanium buckle.
