The NTH DevilRay was conceived with a singular purpose - to be the ultimate expression of everything we love in a hardcore diving watch. No compromises, on anything, for any reason - the ultimate in both form and function, in equal measure.
With inspiration taken from the early extreme-depth diving watches of the 60's and '70s, the DevilRay combines ruggedness and feature-rich capability in a unique design, updated with modern flare.
The DevilRay’s steel cushion case shrouds a 120-click, unidirectional bezel. This bezel features a saw-tooth edge for easy manipulation, as well as a durable steel insert. To make it easy to distinguish between the outer and inner scales on the bezel, we opted for a titanium coloured DLC coating on the insert.
Alongside these changes, this DevilRay is as tough a tool watch as you’d expect to see from NTH. The hands, markers, bezel, and even the crown are filled with X1 Super-LumiNova, for supreme legibility in low light conditions.
What’s more, each DevilRay is individually tested to a water resistance rating of an impressive 500m, and features a double-domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal for superb scratch-resistance.
To power the DevilRay, NTH chose to use the reliable Seiko NH35 / NH38 automatic movement. The tried and tested calibre beats at a rate of 21,600 BPH with a 41-hour power reserve. On top of this NTH have taken the time to regulate the movement, and it will be accurate to -10/+20 seconds a day.
Why This Watch?
About The Brand
NTH were founded in 2016 by Chris Vail, a long-time member of the WatchUSeek forum community. Before NTH Chris ran another brand called Lew & Huey, which he founded in 2012, so he knows a thing or two about how to make a good watch.
NTH watches focus on putting a twist on classic dive watch designs, at an affordable price, without sacrificing quality. The brand’s watches are very well proportioned and extremely wearable. They’re also true tool watches, being powered by reliable Japanese movements and having great water-resistance.
