Hands-On: Raymond Weil Freelancer Review
We’re over three-quarters of the way through 2024 at the moment, and much to my dismay, I haven’t seen much evidence of this year being the year of square watches, as we might have hoped. Predictably,...

This watch is classed as “Like New”, which means that it is end of line or a former photo sample. As such, it should have minimal signs of wear and has been checked to ensure that it is running perfectly, and it has a 6-month warranty.
This particular example is as new, with some small marks on the strap from being tried on and complete with the original box.
We are thrilled to announce The NTH DevilRay GMT designed in collaboration with NTH Watches, available exclusively from WatchGecko. Created with the purpose to be the pinnacle of everything that a hardcore dive watch should have to offer. The initial production batch is limited to only 25 pieces.
Inspiration has been taken from the 60’s and 70’s, when the first early extreme-diving watches began a progressive dive watch phenomenon.
The Blue, White and Orange introduces a modern twist on a classic dive watch. The colours are visually attractive, working well together to make a stunning stand-out timepiece to add to the collection.
We wanted to make the DevilRay GMT as legible as possible, so the dial has a matte finish to maximise the contrast with the hands and applied markers. Meanwhile, the bold orange minute hand pops out against the light blue dial, so it’s easy to read at a glance. We decided to remove the multi-coloured depth meter so as not to distract from the rest of the dial and to allow our vision of a modern-day dive watch come to life.
The DevilRay’s steel cushion case shrouds a 120-click, unidirectional bezel. The bezel features a saw-tooth edge for easy manipulation, as well as a durable steel insert. To make it easy to distinguish between the outer and inner scales on the bezel, we opted for a black coloured DLC coating on the insert.
Alongside these changes, this DevilRay GMT is as tough a tool watch as you’d expect to see from NTH. The hands, markers, bezel, and even the crown are filled with X1 Super-LumiNova, for supreme legibility in low-light conditions.
What’s more, each DevilRay is individually tested to a water resistance rating of an impressive 500m, and features a double-domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal for superb scratch-resistance.
To power the DevilRay GMT, NTH chose to use the reliable Seiko NH34 automatic movement. The tried and tested calibre beats at a rate of 21,600 BPH with a 41-hour power reserve. On top of this NTH have taken the time to regulate the movement, and it will be accurate to -10/+20 seconds a day.
To complement the DevilRay GMT we are offering it on a selection of our most-loved watch straps. The V-Stitch Distressed Leather Watch Strap offers timeless simplicity, making it a popular choice for anyone after a quality leather strap. With a 4mm to 3.5mm tapering thickness, the Italian leather is able to stand up to a great deal of wear, whilst still being pliable from the outset and it conforms well to the wrist. The perfect partner for the DevilRay GMT.
Why This Watch?
About The Brand
NTH were founded in 2016 by Chris Vail, a long-time member of the WatchUSeek forum community. Before NTH Chris ran another brand called Lew & Huey, which he founded in 2012, so he knows a thing or two about how to make a good watch.
NTH watches focus on putting a twist on classic dive watch designs, at an affordable price, without sacrificing quality. The brand’s watches are very well proportioned and extremely wearable. They’re also true tool watches, being powered by reliable Japanese movements and having great water resistance.
