Marrying mechanical excellence with joyful aesthetics, Czapek introduced the Promenade collection at Watches & Wonders 2024.

Elegantly expressing these four principles, the new Promenade collection is a simple yet chic offering with contemporary flair.

Designed for a relaxed and easy to wear aesthetic, the three new Promenade models are offered in a slim 38mm stainless steel case and are equipped with Czapek’s in-house calibre SXH5, a micro-rotor movement which was originally innovated for use in the Antarctique collection. Beating at 4Hz (28,8000 vph) and wound by a micro-rotor, the SXH5 offers the Promenade models 60-hours of power reserve. The Promenade’s style gives a subtle nod to the sporty origins of its movement but Czapek’s CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel wants to make it explicitly clear that the Promenade models are not what they might appear to be on first glance:
“The sports watch is a modern classic and will always be with us – but we feel that the genre is very close to reaching the limit of creativity. We love to play with colour, techniques and materials, so Promenade is not just a timekeeping instrument but also a canvas for creative expression.”

The Promenade collection boasts a choice of two mesmerizing dial options with three colours in total. The first of which is the ‘Goutte d’Eau’ dial or “drops of water”. Incorporating grand feu enamel, the sapphire blue dial comes to life as the watch moves to mimic the mesmerizing effect of a raindrop rippling out from the surface of a pond. The second dial is offered in Ivoire or Bleu Nuit and reinvents guillochage with Czapek’s modern take on the guilloché sunray dial. Taking a modern approach, the seconds sub-dial represents the sun with finely cut rays radiating out from its centre.
The Antarctique collection has also seen an extension with two new models unveiled from Geneva. The first of which is the Passage de Drake Afterglow with stunning stamped flinque dial and “Stairway to Eternity” pattern. The other features a striking Gibeon green meteorite dial and will be limited to 100 pieces. Both of these references are equipped with the SXH5 self-winding calibre and are offered on an elegant integrated stainless-steel bracelet with Czapek’s exclusive ‘Easy Release’ system.

The Promenade models are offered on a Nubuck leather strap in dark blue, grey, or beige but if you’re looking for a high-quality replacement strap, the WatchGecko catalogue is brimming with luxurious designs in a variety of lug widths and colours.
