In 2025, the Seiko Presage Style 60s is back with even more nostalgic charm. The brand has just unveiled three fresh additions to the Presage Style 60s lineup, each one steeped in vintage design cues and finished with a modern twist.

Dubbed Golden Yellow, Silvery Violet, and Ice Green, the new references add a splash of retro colour to the Presage line, blending vintage elegance with dependable Japanese mechanics.

All three models lean into the spirit of the 1960s, when bold colours, optimistic design, and sleek functionality shaped the cultural zeitgeist. These new Presage Style 60s watches are not just visually inspired by the decade. They are also built around the silhouette of a legend. Specifically, they take cues from the Seiko Crown Chronograph, the first wrist chronograph made in Japan, released in 1964 ahead of the Tokyo Olympics where Seiko made its debut as the event’s official timekeeper. That DNA shows in the sharply faceted lugs, slim bezel, and crisp, readable layout.

Each watch comes housed in a 39.5mm stainless steel case, striking a perfect balance between dressy proportions and everyday wearability. At the heart of these timepieces is Seiko’s trusted in-house 4R45 automatic movement, complete with a 40-hour power reserve and date display at 3 o’clock. It’s a robust calibre with a daily accuracy tolerance of +45/-35 seconds. This is a familiar workhorse for Presage fans.

What truly sets these watches apart, however, are their charismatic dials. The Golden Yellow reference (SRPL73J1) delivers a warm amber glow that feels almost sunlit. It is perfectly matched with a supple oiled calf leather strap for a relaxed, vintage finish. Meanwhile, the Silvery Violet (SRPL71J1) and Ice Green (SRPL75J1) models go for a more muted elegance. Their dials shimmer subtly, enhanced by finely brushed bracelets that lend them a touch of sophistication without straying too far from their laid-back roots. The pastel tones are delicate and versatile, making them easy to pair with a variety of outfits and occasions. They are ideal for enthusiasts who love vintage vibes with a contemporary twist.

The dials themselves are rich in vintage details, from the faceted hour markers and dauphine hands to the printed minute track that frames the scene. A gently domed Hardlex crystal reinforces the retro feel while offering a decent level of durability.

Seiko’s ability to walk the line between heritage and innovation is on full display here. The look and feel are unmistakably vintage, but the build quality, movement, and detailing are thoroughly modern. From the fine polishing on the case sides to the sunburst textures of the dials, these watches are designed with Seiko’s signature attention to detail.

Whether you're chasing summer style or simply love the nostalgic feel of sixties design, the new Seiko Presage Style 60s trio offers something genuinely fun and refined. They serve as a reminder that sometimes, looking back is the best way to move forward.
