Just as predicted by our guest authors, the watch-world is continuing to see the bloom of more and more colourful watch dials being released, and in particular pastel colours. It seems Swatch have killed two birds with one stone though, as their latest release not only appears in four enchantingly vibrant, pastel colourways but also features a square dial.

“It’s hip to be square.”

Is Swatch’s motto for the second year running as they proudly present a fresh evolution of their BIOCERAMIC WHAT IF? collection, delivered in a palette of “positively powerful” pastel shades.

Allowing watch-fans to be transported to a playful, parallel universe in which Swatch had chosen to produce their first ever watch in a square case, instead of round, four new colourways of the WHAT IF? collection are now available. With retro charm reimagined, break the mold, and show off your square side with the new editions in Sky Blue, Lemon, Mint or Rose. Swatch What If?

Crafted with Swatch’s innovative BIOCERAMIC material, the WHAT IF? cases are made by combining ceramic powder with biosourced materials to achieve incomparable strength and durability in the unique WHAT IF? square design. Each housed in a 33mm x 33mm bioceramic square case with quartz movement and slightly unique dial design choices, wearers are free to choose a watch that suits their lifestyle as well as their look.
