270 years is a long time to be in business, a cause for celebration. And celebrate Vacheron Constantin have, with this year’s novelties for Watches and Wonders 2025.
TRIBUTE TO THE TOUR DE L’ILE

This series of three one-of-a-kind pieces pays homage to the Maison’s close connection to Geneva and their combined history.
The Tour de l’Ile (translates to tower of the island) is a landmark in Geneva, that stands on a small island in the middle of the Rhone River. The tower overlooks the location of bridges that have played an important role in cross European trade since even before the Romans. As such the tower has become an important landmark for traders from across the continent and was a significant factor in the growth of the city’s early wealth.
In 1843, Vacheron Constantin set up a workshop in the tower and later, in 1906, its first boutique. The artwork on these dials celebrates the historical significance of the tower to the brand and its importance in the development of Geneva itself.
The dials are made of 18K white gold, with hand-crafted Grand Feu enamel and decorated with
miniature painting. Each dial took a whopping 140 hours+ to produce.
Housed inside the 40mm platinum case is the Calibre 2460 Mechanical self-winding movement.
The elaborate decoration is not limited to just the dial. The caseback of each piece is engraved with “Pièce unique”, “Les Cabinotiers”, the “AC” coat of arms, and the Maltese cross with the number 270.
TRADITIONNELLE OPENFACE - THREE ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITIONS

Each edition is limited to just 370 pieces, and all feature the Traditionelle style case in solid platinum.
The three models are differentiated by their complications - Perpetual calendar, Tourbillon, and Complete calendar with moon phase. Each model features a retrograde date, with the complete calendar’s making a full rotation of the dial, while the perpetual and tourbillon rotates across the top half.
While the perpetual calendar with retrograde date is the only fully new calibre of the three, there have been considerable developments to all of the movements and construction techniques.
The openworked 18K gold dial allows you to see more of Vacheron’s excellent finishing. The parts of the dial that do cover the movement are decorated with a hand-guilloché motif inspired by the Maltese cross.
The extremely complex construction of these models shows off the impressive craftsmanship and finishing that the Maison has mastered throughout its history.
TRADITIONNELLE AND PATRIMONY
Five models from the Traditionnelle and Patrimony lines now feature distinctive dials and movement finishing in celebration of the anniversary. The designs are modern and minimalist, inspired by and featuring the Maltese cross. While the designs are very contemporary in appearance, they still contain elements that reflect traditional watchmaking and the Maison’s heritage.
The movements are finished with the Maison’s signature ‘côte unique’. A technique that holds historic brand significance and first reappeared on the Historiques American 1921 released in 2021. This technique took over 500 hours to master and is altered slightly for every calibre to ensure perfect alignment of the finishing.
The models treated to the celebratory dials and finishings are:
- Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date 42.5mm - 270 pieces
- Patrimony Self-Winding 40mm - 370 pieces
- Traditionnelle Manual-Winding 38mm - 370 pieces
- Traditionnelle Moon Phase 36mm - 270 pieces
- Traditionnelle Manual-Winding 33mm - 270 pieces
TRADITIONNELLE TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR

This piece features a new manufacture calibre, combining two of the most complex ‘Haute Horologerie’ complications, a perpetual calendar and tourbillon.
A 72 hour power reserve has been achieved through the use of a peripheral oscillating weight, which also aids the slimness.
Beating at a relatively slow by modern standards 2.5Hz, this movement allows the tourbillon’s mechanical choreography to be fully enjoyed by the wearer.
Again, finished with ‘côte unique’, this movement ensures that both sides of this watch are exquisitely detailed.
The solid platinum, fluted, and stepped case that houses this movement is 42mm in diameter and 11.1mm thick. Impressive dimensions considering the complexity of the movement combined with a sapphire exhibition caseback.
Limited to 127 pieces, this is truly one for connoisseurs and celebrates the fine craftsmanship and timeless design of the brand
