I'm sure you've been reading about watches for a while now. You've got your favourite podcast, YouTube channel or Forum that's entirely about watches. You like watching reviews and you love researching your favourite watches. This is all common behaviour for watch enthusiasts, whether you're just getting started or have been collecting for years. While these resources are fantastic for increasing your knowledge and buying with confidence, they're missing one crucial thing - the irreplaceable experience of trying on watches.

That's exactly why I set up The Watch Collectors' Club 4 years ago - to bring watch enthusiasts together and give them the chance to try on timepieces in the metal. Whether it's a Meetup, Brand Event or Show, the main thing we spend our time doing is trying on watches; new ones, vintage ones, unusual ones and precious ones. There is no better way to find out what you think about a watch than to put it on your wrist, and often it's a surprising experience.

Our Events are open to everyone. We host them regularly in London and Manchester, and these get you access to great brands, amazing collections, and most importantly, many many different watch enthusiasts. We know that the watch world can feel exclusive and intimidating and our events are all about breaking down barriers. We've taken people to brands such as Breguet, Bulgari and Piaget and handled some of the most incredible complicated timepieces along the way. We help people understand why these brands do what they do and how they do it. Similarly, we've championed British watchmaking with brands such as Bremont and Mr. Jones, exploring their design heritage and efforts to produce more in the UK (which has been delayed in Bremont's case).

Watch Shows are another amazing place to try watches on and meet other enthusiasts and for that reason we brought together 25 British Watch Brands and over 300 enthusiasts in Manchester last November . Most of these brands are online only and this was the perfect chance for those thinking about making a purchase to come along and see them in the metal, meet the founders, and learn more about them. We're delighted to be repeating this show in 2025, on Saturday November 8th, and also holding The Glasgow Watch Show for the first time on May 10th. Each show will feature 30 great brands from across Europe and give you a fantastic chance to see hundreds of fantastic timepieces up close.

The Watch Collectors' Club is a simple idea; a place for watch lovers to come together to share their passion. We continue to find new types of events to run, from Museum visits to brunches, pop-ups and fancy launch parties from big brands. We run a full itinerary at the world's largest show in Geneva and are very excited about that this April.

Anyone is welcome to come along to our Events before becoming a member and if you like what you see, Memberships start from just £75 a year, and come with a whole load of amazing benefits such as discounts on watch accessories, great insurance products, and more.

You can discover more about our community on our website and Instagram, and I'll be sharing more insights about the collecting community here on WatchGecko. Come join us at our next Event; where we’ll make it easy to get hands-on with great watches and meet your fellow enthusiasts.
