The moment we’ve all been waiting for since Watches and Wonders wound down back in April is finally upon us. Some of our most beloved watch brands have set up shop in Geneva once again for the return of Geneva Watch Days and the four-day event is sure to see a flurry of novelties released out into the wild.

Leading the pack, DOXA have unveiled a suite of novelties live from the event and they look just a little familiar. Having revealed a striking new expansion to the SUB 200T collection at Geneva Watch Week last March, it seemed that the vibrant Sea Emerald colourway DOXA decorated said novelties with was destined to remain exclusively tied to the SUB 200T. Until now that is…

Thanks to its immense popularity, Sea Emerald Green is back and here to stay, officially becoming the 8th colour to decorate the revered timepieces from the SUB family. Joining the likes of DOXA’s notorious Professional Orange, Sharkhunter Black, Searambler Silver, Caribbean Royal Blue, Divingstar Yellow, Aquamarine and Whitepearl, Sea Emerald Green becomes the next colour in line to appear on the dials of five of the brands key collections, namely: SUB 200, SUB 300T, SUB 300, SUB 600T and SUB 300 Carbon.

Presented with DOXA’s characteristic sunburst finish on the dial, select references (SUB 300/T) will also feature gold accents for added sophistication. The new SUB models maintain their impressive technical attributes, following in the footsteps of SUB models dating back to 1967.

It need not only be fans of the colour green who rejoice at DOXA’s Geneva Watch Day novelties though, the brand also has something in store for lefties (or, to avoid confusion, those who are left-handed).

In a move that’s not totally unheard of, but still uncommon (particularly in the dive watch sector), DOXA have announced the launch of a SUB 300T reference specifically re-designed to cater to left-handed folks.

For the first time ever, the SUB 300T is set to appear with the crown positioned on the left side of the case. As part of the redesign the movement had to be rotated 180 degrees inside the case, thanks to this the date window remains at 3 o’clock despite the crown now being presented at 9 o’clock.

The Aristera, meaning ‘left’ in Greek, is engineered to provide optimal comfort and ease for left-handed wearers, and will be offered exclusively with DOXA’s iconic orange dial. The collection launches in October on a limited-edition run of 300 pieces. More information regarding the new novelties can be found here.
