Ultimate Sport Watch Collaborations in 2024

Funnily enough, before we could even make this article live, Official Timekeepers OMEGA have released yet another novelty into their Olympic Games Paris 2024 collection. This time, the luxury Swiss brand have wowed with a Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition.

Available on a suite of OMEGA's sporty nylon watch straps, the Bronze Gold Edition combines gold, silver and bronze in tribute to the three iconic medals of the Olympic Games. Equipped with OMEGA's 8926 manual-winding movement, the Bronze Gold Edition has 72-hours of go time and is housed in a wearable 39mm case. Directly inspired by a vintage OMEGA timepiece which was originally released in 1939, the Bronze Gold Edition features the vintage OMEGA logo embossed on the crown as well as an Ag 925 silver dial with a "Clous de Paris" pattern at its centre and a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock. 

Our first sports collaboration comes via OMEGA in the form of a new edition of their popular Seamaster Aqua Terra model. The latest addition to the line-up is inspired by current Olympic champion Armand “Mondo” Duplantis, the Swedish pole vaulter who recently broke the World Record for an impressive 8 ^th time in his career. The perfect moment it seems to introduce a dedicated Seamaster Aqua Terra decorated with blue and yellow (the colours of the Swedish flag), as well as exclusive details inspired by Mando’s athletic achievements.

With the Seamaster name and quarter hour numbers appearing in yellow, the final touch is a yellow varnished central seconds hand crafted with a pole vault inspired shape. Despite its makeover, the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra x Armand Duplantis is still equipped with Tudor’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre, ensuring precision, accuracy and performance as exceptional as Mondo’s. 

Inter Milan announced a collaboration with luxury Swiss watch brand Tudor earlier this year to celebrate their championship win. A limited-edition Tudor Black Bay 58 was released to honour 116 years of proud heritage with only 1908 pieces available. In celebration of their twentieth title win, the watch features the team's signature colours and a unique dial design embellished by the second star earned from their recent championship win. The watch is powered by the COSC-Certified Manufacture Calibre MT5402 and has a 70-hour power reserve.

Inter Milan weren’t the only football team to collaborate with luxury Swiss watchmaker Tudor this year though. Ambassador David Beckham snuck in just ahead of them to inject his team’s signature pink flair into the Tudor Black Bay Chrono. Perfectly harmonious with Inter Miami CF’s vibrant pink jersey’s, this exclusive edition of the somewhat divisive Black Bay Chrono features a domed pink dial with contrasting circular sub-counters, signature “Snowflake” hands and the Chronograph Calibre MT5813 which again is COSC-Certified.

Having already been flaunted on the wrists of F1 drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda earlier this year, the highly awaited Tudor Black Bay Ceramic was finally unveiled this month. The exclusive “Blue” Edition features the Manufacture Calibre MT5602-1U movement with a silicon hairspring, providing a 70-hour power reserve and 200 meters of water resistance. It has a striking blue dial with matching strap stitching and a black ceramic sand-blasted PVD finish. The watch also includes signature snowflake hands and comes with a five-year guarantee, emphasizing Tudor's commitment to quality since moving into its new headquarters in Switzerland three years ago.

With the football season kicking off last month, the UEFA Euro’s 2024 became the centre of attention for football enthusiasts internationally. This year, Hublot commemorates its fifth year as a partner of the competition by introducing the latest iteration of the Big Bang e, setting a new benchmark in the realm of Hublot connected watches.

To the basketball court now for Breitling’s collaboration with NBA titan Giannis Antetokounmpo. The partnership saw Breitling expand their Chronomat line-up with a limited-edition version of the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 model as well as a shiny new version of the Chronomat B01 42. The set of timepieces was co-designed by Antetokounmpo and embodies the baller’s inspiration journey from the street courts of Athens to the heights of the NBA.

The ambassador’s signature watches come adorned with his initials “GA” on the central hand and the basketball emblem worked into the chronograph counter. Giannis was fortunate to receive his very own exclusive ‘One of One’ Chronomat B01 edition, which will be exclusively enjoyed by the man himself.

Equipped with the Breitling Caliber 82, the new Endurance Pro models are COSC-Certified and water resistant up to 10 bar (100 metres).

The Tissot Seastar Wilson® WNBA Powermatic 80 and Tissot Seastar Wilson® WNBA Quartz are unique 40mm limited-edition watches resulting from a collaboration between Tissot, Wilson, and the WNBA. They feature special basketball-inspired design elements and interchangeable orange and white straps made from Wilson’s EVO-NXT Premium Composite Material. Both models honour Tissot’s role as the official timekeeper of the NBA and WNBA shot clocks and are water resistant up to 30 bar (300 meters/1,000 feet). 

In a continuation of their longstanding partnership, this year’s Tour de France event saw Tissot once again release an exclusive watch for the occasion. Revisiting the classic PR100, the new model boasts a durable 316L stainless steel case, thematic asphalt-grained black dial and a black-disc date window. Equipped with the G10.212 chrono quartz movement, the Tour de France 2024 model incorporates 100 metre water-resistance and Super-Luminova coating on the hands for increased visibility.

Now, something a little unconventional until recently: a unique padel collaboration introduced by Certina. As padel gains popularity internationally and padel courts begin to appear across all major cities, the sport has now made its mark in the watch world, with Certina leading the way.

The DS-7 Chrono Padel Edition, a special collaboration with Marta Ortega, the 27-year-old professional padel player and Adidas partner who already has more than ten professional titles to her name, features a Swiss made chronograph movement with Precidrive technology. It boasts a carbon fibre dial crafted from the same material as Marta’s padel racket and is housed in a 41mm black PVD coated stainless steel case. 

The design pays homage to the sport with a padel tennis ball at 6 o’clock and a dial pattern inspired by the solid bats used in the game, complete with green highlights. The watch is equipped for precise sports timing and features Super LumiNova highlights on the hands and indexes for clear visibility.

Unveiling their third collaborative wristwatch just in time for Wimbledon 2024, Racquet Magazine and Maurice de Mauriac once again teamed up for the release of the Rallymaster III. The new version features an olive-green dial inspired by traditional tennis courts and introduces 18k rose gold components for the first time, adding a touch of sophistication. Tan colored straps complete the watch's look, giving it a 'green over tan' appearance, which is favored by vintage and luxury car enthusiasts. 

Like its predecessors, the Rallymaster III combines classic retro details with modern tennis influences. The watch sports a 39mm case size, suitable for most wrists. Additionally, the watch box includes a custom pink tennis ball and offers multiple strap options, such as a grained calf leather strap and a two-piece stretchy elastic strap, both with a quick-release system for on-court and off-court versatility.
